As much as we celebrators of libido, never mind LIBIDO, like to play up the pleasure of sex, for a very large number of American women sex is not that much fun. In fact, it’s more of a chore than sucking up dust bunnies from under the bed.

So what do women want from their men in bed and beyond?

It’s an age-old question; and Lesbian Sex Secrets for Men answers it in a wonderfully straightforward, if not sexually straight ahead, manner. Written by a lesbian-identified activist and educator and a guy who specializes in men’s issues, this book is a little gem designed to speak directly to a younger generation of guys who really want to please their women, but who are so cowed by the politics of today’s sexuality that they don’t quite know where to begin. Or end.

I love the detailed specifics of this book ("Moment of Entry -- Make It Last"), which can offer useful tips both to beginners as well as those who consider themselves experts. I also like the big-sisterly tone. It gives this book a feeling of being in intense conversation with someone you can trust.

So if the prospect of going to bed with your man is scarier that bedding The Great Pumpkin, tuck this under his Halloween pillow and then suggest going to bed early for some good reading.
