We're happy to announce that the winners in the first annual Erotic Authors Association awards have been chosen. The winners are:
The Obelisk Award for Lifetime Achievement in Erotic Writing or Publishing Awarded every five years, The Obelisk Award, named for publisher Jack Kahane whose Obelisk Press in Paris published the early works of legendary authors such as Henry Miller, Anais Nin, and James Joyce, honors a lifetime of extraordinary achievement in the writing and or publishing of erotic literature in English or English translation.
The Girodias Award for Outstanding Publisher of the Year
Named after legendary French publisher, Maurice Girodias (son of Obelisk
Press founder, Jack Kahane), The Girodias Award honors outstanding quality,
commitment and artistic vision by a publisher.
The Apollinaire Award for Outstanding Erotic Poetry or Prose Poem Collection
Named for French poet, author and visionary, Guillaume Apollinaire, The
Apollinaire Award honors literary excellence in a collection of erotic
poetry or prose poetry by a single author in English or English translation.
Sex-Fiend Monologues II by Thaddeus Rutkowski, published by Venom Press
The EAA Award for Best New Voice in Erotic Fiction
The Erotic Authors Association honors literary excellence in one new writer
of erotic fiction annually. To qualify in this category, the nominee must
have published a first erotic short story or novella in English or English
translation in an erotic anthology by a traditionally distributed print
press, small press, university press or POD press, or print magazine.
